At Harbourside Port Stephens, we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, supportive workplace where new faces are met with open arms and friendly smiles. This month, we’re excited to introduce Kiara, who has joined Harbourside Residential Care each Wednesday until the end of Term 3 for her work experience placement.
Kiara first connected with us at the Supporting the Future Workforce! Year 10 Industry Showcase at Tomaree High School. The event brought together students and local employers to explore career pathways, and it was there that our HR Business Partner, Paula, and Kiara began a conversation about the opportunities in aged care. That first chat has now blossomed into hands-on experience in a workplace that values compassion, teamwork, and growth.
Guided by Kavita, one of our dedicated staff members, Kiara is already gaining insight into the rewarding work we do each day to support our residents and community. Her presence is a wonderful reminder of why we’re committed to nurturing the next generation of aged care professionals.
