Simple, supportive care at home
Support at Home is the Australian Government’s new program for in-home aged care. It replaces Home Care Packages and brings a simpler, more flexible way to access services.
Under Support at Home, services are delivered across eight funding levels and grouped into three areas:
- Clinical care (such as nursing and allied health)
- Independence support (such as personal care and transport), and
- Everyday living (such as domestic assistance and meals).
At Harbourside, we support you across all areas, with a strong focus on clinical care and allied health.
Support at Home also includes additional pathways for short-term or specialised support, such as restorative care, end-of-life care, and assistive technology or home modifications where needed.
At the same time, other programs such as the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) continue to provide entry-level support. At Harbourside, we offer CHSP services including domestic assistance, individual and group social support.
At Harbourside, our Home Care services continue as usual — we’ll guide you through the different options and help you understand what’s right for you.

Understanding fees and pricing
Under Support at Home, providers set their own prices, which must be transparent and published. From 1 July 2026, government price caps will apply.
Clinical services such as nursing and allied health are fully funded by the government. Some people may contribute to other services depending on their individual circumstances.
We know aged care funding can feel confusing. Our team will take the time to explain:
- what services are fully funded
- what contributions may apply to you
- how to make the most of your available budget
We believe in helping you get the best possible value from your care — particularly during this transition period.
Already receiving Home Care or thinking of changing providers?
If you currently receive a Home Care Package or are moving into Support at Home, we can help you understand what this means and support you through the transition. If you are considering changing providers, we can guide you through the process — making it simple and stress-free.
Getting started is easier than you might think
