Harbourside Coastal Country Fair Brings Community Together
Harbourside recently welcomed residents, families, staff and the wider community to our much-anticipated Coastal Country Fair – boots n all, and what a fantastic day it was.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Shoal Bay, the fair brought together people of all ages – from as young as 18 months through to 103 years – creating a truly inclusive and vibrant community event. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying the day, reconnecting with others, and sharing in the experience.
The fair featured a variety of attractions including live country music, line dancing, market stalls, balloon twisting, and our popular Beachside Barnyard, where visitors enjoyed getting up close with baby animals. There was something for everyone, with plenty of food and refreshments available – including a very popular sausage sizzle, with over 500 sausages served throughout the day.
For our residents and clients, the event provided a meaningful opportunity to feel connected to the broader community. Many shared how much they enjoyed being part of such a lively and engaging atmosphere, with music, conversation, and familiar community spirit all around them.
Events like the Coastal Country Fair are an important reflection of Harbourside’s commitment to fostering connection, wellbeing, and a strong sense of belonging. Bringing generations together in a relaxed and welcoming environment highlights the value of community in everything we do.
